Siding, staining, and cement!

They started siding the side of the garage.
Here it is, Victorian grey. It's pretty close as far as color showing up on here!
Close up!
Put up the framing for the knee walls, and cut off stringer ends of the steps.
David staining the trim...his first and last one, he hated it!!
Close up of the work we were doing!
Still on his first and last one!
Go me! I LOVED it! It's therepy!
:)
It was dark, so we rigged up a spotlight to work.
David's job was, as we stained, he wiped it off with rags.
Poured cement in the garage.
And in the porch.

A little bit more was done this week. Not alot, but a little. We started staining Wednesday night. David hated it. He only stained one piece! Then he went to wiping it off only. I on the other hand loved it! It's like therapy for me!! It's like doing crafts -fun! So I kept going. Dad S. joined in then and we did 24 pieces that night. Hopefully I can finish that part at least tomorrow . Then it will need 2 coats of polyurethane. With a light sanding in between coats. That will come soon. For now I want to get the staining done. We went with a Fruit wood color. I will get some more pics tomorrow.
Wednesday the siding got started. He only did the side of the garage. It looks nice though. It's Victorian grey. We like the way it looks now that some is up to actually see more than a tiny little sample. We were pretty sure we would like it, and we do! They poured concrete today in the garage and porch. Looks nice. They are to come make relief cuts in the garage tomorrow. The siding guy is also supposed to come to. We'll see if they show on a Saturday or not. They all need to get a move on!
