Another Busy Week

As another busy week starts I am constantly reminded to sometimes slow down and make sure I am making time for the important things in life. Heard a new song today by Phil Vasser saying to slow down and don't miss your life! Here it is. Not sure how to get the actual video on here. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=12SOiGWJiwc&feature=colike It brought tears to my eyes!

But Kaylynn loves playing outside! She rides around in the wagon at the babysitters. She's all in her glory. :) Picked up sunscreen for her so she don't burn to a crisp out there and dug out her sunhats. Packed away all but a few 6-9 month clothes, and put the swing in the other room since she hasn't been using it for a little while now. :( Had to get her Summer jammies for bed. She looks like such a big girl. And what is it about PJ's that look so cute? :) With every new thing she does, it's so bittersweet. She has learned so many new things this week too! She says Boo! She will put her leg up and hold it for me to put her shoes on. She has learned to take her socks off and eat them. She "kisses the baby" when she looks in the mirror. If I say kiss Mommy she has done it to me but only 3 times. She holds her own bottle. She has pretty much officially is wearing 12 month clothes, bumped up a shoe size. :( I think she is starting to teeth again. Fussy time is about to begin!

We close on our refinancing of the house Thursday! And David has been working his side job and I am back on some overtime at work! Maybe we can get ahead finally! Also got our taxes back so I got my car inspected and fixed. (It was to be done in January...bad me!) only $900+ later, I'm back on the road and legal! I still need to get it aligned yet.

David has been diligently working on finishing the basement! Got some framing done. Just hard when he's working full time, working a side job and putting her to bed early makes it hard to find time to work on it. I am already dreaming up decorating ideas. :) Well, that's about all for now! Gotta get to bed soon 2:30am comes quick!!
She LOVES being read to! (P.S the script bottle is empty, she like to chew it and fling it around)
I am a big girl.
My nephew Julian. Real men lay on pink owl boppy pillows!
Trying to grab Julian!
Eeeeeee.....come here you baby!!
So adorable.
Getting some fresh country air!
Her new size 3 sneakers. I thought they were cute and Springy.

Messy Marvin

She was so tired. Daddy was rubbing her back.
Kept talking to herself in the mirror. :)
What Mom?
We decided to let her feed herself today. She did good. Very messy, but she like brussel sprouts too!
Messy girl!

Germs Be Gone!!

Well, Kaylynn has been running a fever since yesterday and tugging on her ears, so I made a Doc appt for today. She has yet another ear infection. Back on Cefdinir. Poor girl is so miserable. They also noticed her one eye is slightly turned in so we will need to be seeing an eye Doctor for her for that. I just wish we could have a week where none of us were sick!! Germs be gone from this house!!

Update on My Pap

My Mom, and sisters and I went to visit my Pap Thursday night. He seemed to be doing well. Cracking jokes. He got discharged last evening and is now home. He thinks he can just jump right back into what all he was doing before so my Gram has to keep after him. :) Please continue to pray for his recovery and for my Gram to because she has arthritis very bad in her hands, feet, shoulders, etc. So her helping him is hard for her. But I talked to her today and he seems to be doing very well!! Thank you for the prayers!!

Prayers Needed!

My Pap fell today while he and my Gram were out and about in Lewisburg. Thankfully he was in a store, and NOT driving at the time. He was close to Evangelical Hospital, so that's where he went. Did a CAT scan and at the time he was unresponsive. And he did have a stroke. So, they gave him a shot to dissolve the blood clot on/in his brain (not sure which it is) and lifeflighted him to Geisinger where he is now in Critical Care. He is alert and knows what is going on now. He is crackin' jokes. Although he says he wants to go home!! They did another CAT scan when he got there, no results thus far. They will be keeping him for at least a few days for physical therapy. Not sure how bad the damage was. Mom said his one side is sluggish. So, please remember him and my Gram in prayer! His 82nd birthday is coming up on the 24th!! I told Mom to tell him, "ya know you ARE getting older, you just can't go gally vanting all over Lewisburg for crying out loud!!" LOL!! Thanks for the prayers!! I will update soon!!!

Recipe for a Memory

Last Sat we got a phone call from David's brother Jay about 10pm while we were watching the movie Courageous. He wondered if we had Mom's iced cinnamon roll recipe. We didn't. So David went over to get her recipe boxes for us to look through them and see if we could find it. (His Dad is in Michigan visiting family friends and then will be stopping in to see Marianne's family in Ohio)
David brought them in and asked me to go through them. As soon as I got started, I started crying. Just so many emotions came over me. We have really been missing her something terrible. We all have, not just us. But with every recipe I pulled out, I automatically thought of different get togethers, meals, family gatherings where she has made these very delicious things. And I even came across one that she had written that was MY recipe. I was very honored. :) Just even seeing her handwriting is hard. Who would think that something as simple as a recipe box (or 2) would bring all these memories back? And we never did find it. But little things like how many times she had certain ones written down made me giggle. I know it was probably due to her illness, but we would pick on her about things like that. Some are in there 3 or 4 times! :) Alot of what make up my recipes are from her. Although I told David I would probably need a good day to write off the rest of what I want out of hers. Come to find out later the reason he asked me to go through them is because he couldn't bring himself to do it. He said when he went to get them he had a moment over there at Dad's house.
Just makes us miss her even more. Especially all of us being sick lately I know as bad as she would have been feeling she would be calling asking if we needed anything. Probably made us something to eat. Thankful for the memories we do have to share. Miss ya Mom.

So Big!

She kept pulling her hat over to suck her thumb (this is her new thing) and fell asleep on the way home like that. :)
Her loot from Toys R Us. Plastic bib, fridge farm and a container of fruit to top off the gift card! Thanks Aunt Mary Lou!!
Playing.
Playing with Daddy.
She tries to walk all the time. She thinks she can let go of your hand and just go herself. But she'd rather play on the OUTSIDE of her excersucer rather IN it.
