Praying for a Donor

As you know my Mom's next step is a stem cell transplant.  Her 1 sister is a perfect match.  Since my Aunt told my Mom she was a match it's been like the white elephant in the room.  I wouldn't say they are the closest-relationship wise, sorta, but not really.  So my Aunt went with her somewhere last weekend and they finally talked about it.  She has alot of questions (which she needs to call Hershey)  and called another night with more questions.  She said her husband said it's up to her. And could they do it on a weekend because she can't take off work.  Amongst other questions....anyway. she has NOT said she is not going to do it, nor has she said she will.  She acts like she doesn't want to and we still don't know where she stands.  Mom called Hershey today and they asked if she's gonna do it and Mom said she didn't know. (Everyone at the hospital is shocked and dumbfounded that it's even a question! And they are gonna call her on Monday to see what she says and see if she will get the other testing started)) so in the meantime they are gonna look on the registry for a donor.
She has to go Thursday for an appt with the Doctor and to have another bone marrow test done.  (This is very painful!)  And praying also theat it comes back still negative for Leukemia.  She hasn't had that done in a while. Just prayers all around. Pray for my Aunt to change her mind and have it done.  Pray my Mom's test goes smoothly and comes back negative.  Pray this continues to go ok and she can be HEALTHY and get on with her life.   Needing God's touch and strength in these coming days. Thanks! I will keep you posted!!

This and That

Hello again.  March is almost over and Spring is still no where to be found.  We got snow last week and we're to get more tonight. Ugh. Joys of living in PA I guess.  I am ready for Spring cleaning around here and to have a yard sale to rid this house of some junk someone else's new stuff.
I will be hosting Easter dinner this year and a Egg hunt.  Should be fun.  Most of my family is coming.  Got the kids kites, which was a traditional Easter gift we always got and I always enjoyed that.
Kaylynn after having a 24 hour flu bug the other week, has had a cold this week. Poor kid.  It's always something.  She's really been doing well with potty training.  I think she does better at the sitter's where she sees more kids doing it.  But we're trying to sit her on the potty every hour.
I have started taking prescription Vitamin D 50,000mg! My levels are extremely low, so I will take 1 every week for a month.  I actually bought a 2 month unlimited tanning sessions at the Stylebox where I get my hair done to try and see if that would help that a little for that problem. Not to mention so I won't be white as a ghost.
Basement is pretty much at idle right now.  David's been busy with other projects for other people.  (he gets paid well, what can I say?)  We're not even ready for paint yet.  I thought we'd be done with that by now. :)  Guess not.
Have a Blessed Easter (if I don't post until after Easter!!)

A Bunny I bought off a sell and swap site on Facebook. I like it!
 Playing in the snow.
A face only a Mother could love... just joking!!  This was my send off Friday morning when I dropped her off at the sitter's.  She always waves and says bye at this door.  This day she pressed her nose up against it. I cracked up!! To funny!!

Blessings In Disguise

***Need to remember this more often than not!!

Just for this morning, I am going to smile when I see your face and laugh when I feel like crying.

Just for this morning, I will let you choose what you want to wear, and smile and say how perfect it is.

Just for this morning, I am going to step over the laundry, and pick you up and take you to the park to play.

Just for this morning, I will leave the dishes in the sink, and let you teach me how to put that puzzle of yours together.

Just for this afternoon, I will unplug the telephone and keep the computer off, and sit with you in the backyard and blow bubbles..

Just for this afternoon, I will not yell once, not even a tiny grumble when you scream and whine for the ice cream truck, and I will buy you one if he comes by.

Just for this afternoon, I won't worry about what you are going to be when you grow up, or second guess every decision I have made where you are concerned.

Just for this afternoon, I will let you help me bake cookies, and I won't stand over you trying to fix them.

Just for this afternoon, I will take us to McDonald's and buy us both a Happy Meal so you can have both toys..

Just for this evening, I will hold you in my arms and tell you a story about how you were born and how much I love you.

Just for this evening, I will let you splash in the tub and not get angry.

Just for this evening, I will let you stay up late while we sit on the porch and count all the stars.

Just for this evening, I will snuggle beside you for hours, and miss my favorite TV shows.

Just for this evening when I run my finger through your hair as you pray, I will simply be grateful that God has given me the greatest gift ever given.

I will think about the mothers and fathers who are searching for their missing children, the mothers and fathers who are visiting their children's graves instead of their bedrooms, and mothers and fathers who are in hospital rooms watching their children suffer senselessly, and screaming inside that they can't handle it anymore.

And when I kiss you good night I will hold you a little tighter, a little longer. It is then, that I will thank God for you, and ask him for nothing, except one more day..............

No matter hold old our children will always be our babies.

March~In Like a Lion, Out Like a Lamb...

Hidy Ho! We've been quite busy it seems.  David's been working on mudding the basement, and doing electrical for friends.  I've been having to run alot of errands after work lately, getting stuff, Doc appt's, my first ever chiropractor appt, (denist appt and another chiropractor appt this week!) etc...  Getting all the stuff for my Easter dinner and Easter egg hunt here at our house.  We had a sick little girl this past week.  She was up during the night vomiting.  She cries because it scares her.  So David stayed with her Thursday.  She seemed better, but when I got home from work she seemed to have a fever and the scoots.  The fever wasn't bad, she seemed ok, so she went to the sitter Friday.  She continued with belly troubles the rest of Friday, but other than being a little clingy and somewhat cranky she's better.  She's also cutting her bottom 2 yr molars, so a bit irritable to say the least!!
She is so ready for Spring and to be outside!  She cries so hard and tries to put her coat back on to "I out"  she wants outside so badly! :(  She is still obsessed with shoes.  She bumped up to 6's, I recently bought her new dress shoes and sneakers and she plays and plays with them.  She sat on the couch the other night for 30 mins just playing with them, trying to put them on. She loves bath time.  We make extra Bob-buls (how she pronounces bubbles) to play with.  She's really trying to say so many new words too.  We ask her to try to say words and usually she tries to at least attempt to say them.  Like the neighbor's dog Rosco, she hollers at the window "Hi Raw-ro" I love her language! Hee, hee!  Or Grandma is Gee-Gee.  I could go on and on.  Some are so funny!!
Well, that's about it for now!

Eating grilled cheese, tomato soup and nuggets.
 What Mom?!
Grandpa started with this, now Daddy does it to her. She can hold herself out for a long time! (she did not want her pic taken!)
A hat! She was saying...

Kaylynn And All Her Cuteness!

 Eating an ice cream cone.
 Mmmmm....
 Big pigtails!!
 Cheese!!
 I wanna see Mommy!!
New sandals we got for her last night for Summer.
New rain/mud boots we got her last night.  Because when we take her to our baby sitter's parens farm to see the animals, plus the neighbor has families over to bottle feed calves...so we needed boots! :)
Swimsuit! So cute, this picture doesn't do it justice.

~ What's going on with us you ask?  Well, David is still working on the basement.  Mudding is almost done.  I got paint samples and can't decide between green or blue for down there.  We are now coffee drinkers.  I made some when the guys came over to hang drywall I got hooked!  :)  It's yummy!  Kaylynn is more than ready for Spring.  She pitches fits when we take her from the car to the house because she does not want to come in.  She just keeps saying "OUT!!"  She's really coming into her own.  Learning alot of new words.  Potty training has begun and although we are not really "trying" yet, she does ask to get on the potty, so we sit her up on it.  Because of the other kids at the sitter, she does better there.  She has gone on the big potty several times. Yeah!!  She is cutting her 2 year molars.  Her hair is growing like crazy.  She has a well child appt Tues, so we'll see how much she weighs and how tall she is.  When we weigh her here the last we checked it was 25.6 lbs.  She is quite the ham and likes to make people laugh!  Soon it will be time for a big girl bed. :(

We are trying, but not trying for #2.  If it don't happen after so long I will have to refer back to the fertility clinic.  Scary and exciting. ;)  David HAS started the Chantix to quit smoking.  He seems to be more motivated this time.  Hope it works it was SUPER expensive!!!!  I am trying to get healthier too.  So, that way we're both working on something.

Mom is 2 weeks out of the 5th round of chemo so the fevers are starting.  That seems to be normal.  The next step is one day of chemo, then stem cell transplant.  1 out of 3 of her sisters (my Aunt's) is a perfect match.  Although, it seems her and her husband do ot want to do it.  So, please pray if they proceed with the transplant that they change their minds. :/   Also, to be a donor is not that invasive!  Please check out the donor registry website and be a donor and save a life!!  EVERYONE IS SOME ONE'S LOVED ONE!!  www.marrow.org  Check it out! I'm going to do it!!
