End of day one.
Looks great!
They do fine work!!
Yesterday David, Dad S., and David's good friend from work, Kevin Shrawder got started at 6:30am on roofing. It started out really cloudy and overcast, an ended up hazy, hot and humid!! Needless to say they were sweaty wet! We tryed to keep drinks cold there for them. My Mom and Dad brought over my outdoor table over, so they could eat lunch. Mom S. made and brought over lunch for everyone. At 12:00pm David and I had to leave to go make final desicions on our cabinets and countertops for the kitchen and bathrooms. We were back within the hour and he went back to work. The three of them worked diligently for a long time. After awhile Dad S. came down and was hurting! He immediatly after coming down was cranking up his electrical impulses with his remote!! He ended up going home and getting a shower and taking some pain meds. David and Kevin kept on going, while I in the meantime went and got some more drinks ready and got my parents cooler and ice. When I got back they were still going strong!! The spot I had set up to watch had my table with some snacks on it, cooler underneath it, and 2 fold able Gander Mountain chairs there. (trying to set the scene!!) So, while it was so hot and humid and by now really sunny out, I laid back in my chair opened up an umbrella and tried to relax. I was the supervisor of course!! Ha Ha!! When the were finishing up I picked up the papers and burned them , and picked up the lumber they threw down. I got jabbed twice with stupid nails sticking out, but I'll live. And somehow I was the only one who ended up with a bad sunburn!! I even had an umbrella up some of that time!! But, it probably happened while it was overcast and didn't realize it. I looked like a lobster when we got home!! It's not as bad today now. But around 5:00pm they were done with the backside of the house, and it looks great!!! Tomorrow they will be starting really early again. It will be David, Dad S., Uncle Dave, and maybe Jason (David's cousin), and Kevin again if we need him. We really appreciate everything everyone is doing to help!!! We couldn't do it without them!!!!!! Tomorrow should go a bit faster not only because of more help, but now David has a little knack to it. He had a good time learning how to do it, and he was so proud!! We won't be able to do the front porch or garage and valley until later, they are not ready yet. But, the color turned out to be exactly what we wanted!! We're really pleased with it!! Another long day tomorrow, then Tuesday back to the grind!!

Lookin' good!

David looks so proud! LOL!
The front door, from the inside. Still needs painted.
Oh boy, there goes David!
Oh my! This thing scares me! I can't believe he does this everyday!!
Allan, this is for you! Uncle David is really high up in the air!!! Yikes!
Sand mound is complete, I think.
The back.
Yesterday ended up being a rainy one, so we didn't accomplish anything other than getting the bucket truck there. David was able to borrow the bucket truck, a generator, and some harnesses from his work, Zimmermann's. That was really nice of them to do that for us. Just about all of the windows are in. All of the exterior doors are in the house. We have to paint all the exterior and interior doors, so they will actually be white. The sand mound is done, I think. There is not much of a hump there, which is nice. David, Dad S., and his friend from work, Kevin are over there right now starting to get things done. I slept in a bit! We are going at noon to go finalize our order for cabinets and counter tops so they can order them. More pictures to come!!! It's coming together nice!!

David holds a newborn!

Yesterday we went to the hospital so David could see Matt & Erin and Austin. David has never held a newborn baby before. The smallest ever was a 3 month old. So today for some reason we were able to talk him into it. And it was the cutest thing! He was fine once Matt bundled up in a blanket so he really couldn't squirm around. He'll be a good Dad, once we get to that point!!

Welcome Austin!

Austin Matthew!!
Go Daddy Matt!
Yesterday, our friends, Matt & Erin welcomed their first son, Austin!! He was 8lbs. 9oz. 20 1/4"long!! He is SO CUTE!! I went to the hospital after work today to see them. Mommy and Daddy are doing good. Tired, but good. They will be awesome parents! Still kinda weird to call them parents! I got to hold him so long my arm fell asleep!! I also got a lesson in how to change a REALLY dirty, messy diaper today from Matt's Mom! We're happy for them! Can't wait to see the little guy grow up!! :)

Windows!

I only got a few snapshots the other day, but they put the 2nd floor windows in. There will be lots more pics tomorrow!! We are starting to roof tomorrow. Dad S. just called and said the windows are in downstairs also. It's really looking sharp!! More to come!

What a sunrise!

What a beautiful sunrise! I always wish I had my camera in the morning because it is so awesome! So, since I was going to the hospital after work to see Matt & Erin's new baby, Austin, I had it with me! So, I pulled into the scenic overlook and took a couple of the first pictures, and when I got to the bridge across the river, it was even more colorful, so luckily today I got a red light, rolled my window down and snapped a few more! AWESOME!!

Welcome Braylon!

Braylon!!
Look at that red hair!
Sharie, Wesley and Braylon.
Pap looking at his new Great-grandson, Braylon!
Jamie(my sister) with Braylon.
And me with him!!
Last Sunday we went to my cousin, Wesley's son, Braylon Anthony's baby shower. He already arrived 3 weeks ago! It was our first time meeting his girlfriend, Sharie, she seems nice. We had a nice time at the Mill Hall park under the pavilion and also had a picnic. We don't get to see Wesley very often, so it was really nice to see him and my Aunt Gina!! It was our side of the family. They got alot of nice things! Braylon is so cute with his red hair and blues eyes!! Looks just like his Daddy when he was a baby!!
