Love This!

Someone posted this on Facebook and I really liked it!! I need to listen to it!!

Things Are Looking Up!

I haven't posted a picture in awhile.  This was the other day.  She kept stacking all this stuff on Daddy telling him to "seep." (sleep) Ha!  She's quite a different child since taking those meds for CDIFF and the parasite.  She plays and plays. She's hilarious.  Very spunky.  Her speech is expanding everyday!  She is OBSESSED with babies and baby dolls.  She usually always has one she's carrying around.  Although we all 3 seem to have colds or allergies going on right now she is great!!  Praying it continues!!

Answers.....

The last post saying we had the flu may have been an understatement.  After lots of Doc appts., hospital ER trips, lots of prescriptions, and tests we think we finally figured out what is happening.  We are not out of the woods yet either.  After I took in a lovely stool sample they discovered I had a parasite. Got a special order script for it. All the while we just still couldn't seem to snap out of it, especially Kaylynn.  Now, on top of this illness she's been having troubles for over 2 months.  They also had said she had another UTI.  So, after I yet again this past Wednesday had to go to the ER due to kidney stones and fluid around my kidneys we made appts that same day for her and I with our family Doc.  FINALLY they listened and ordered stool tests to be done on David and Kaylynn.  David still has to do his, but Kaylynn's came pack positive for parasite (C. Parvum) Whatever that means.  And for a bacterial infection of CDIFF.  VERY CONTAGIOUS!!  As I am learning it comes from taking to many antibiotics and it lets the bad bacteria take over and basically lets toxins take over your colon, gastrointestinal area, intestines, etc.  So her feces are contagious! So we have to be so careful!!  So now we are all using antibacterial soap to not only wash hands, but to bath and shower with.  They told me when she has a bowl movement to use antibacterial soap and water to clean her.  Wipe everything.  Clean, clean, clean!!  We started antibiotics for the CDIFF Friday night.  We are to give it every 6 hours for 7 days.  So now they are not convinced that it is UTI at all, so yet more urine needs collected and dropped off Monday.  Tues is a follow up Doc appt.  Wednesday she see's a PEDS nephrologist.  I feel like even today I see a difference in her.  Praying it works. Praying she is getting relief and better.  Praying she can get back to herself!!

Without going into ever last detail, although the Doc's where we go are nice, they are soooooo busy I feel like they don't listen to me.  I am not crazy!!  I even went as far as video recording diaper changes and bath time to show them exactly what she does! If they would have initially did a few simple tests to start with maybe she wouldn't have been this sick.  I plan on telling them that Tues. too.  I feel like they failed us.  They failed Kaylynn.   And lesson learned that I will demand things like that be done next time. (hopefully there won't need to be a next time)  So, please continue to keep us in your prayers.  It's been a very challenging few weeks here.  Sick, missing work, boo-koo money being spent on co-pays-scripts-ER visits, etc, not getting paid due to missing work, lost my profit sharing check due to missing work, just extremely hard but had/has to be done.  She has got to get better!!!

Update on Mom

So, Friday's appt went great.  She didn't need anything and she was released back to work for 4 hours a day and started back Monday. She was happy and excited but very overwhelming for her.  We have redone everything since she's been gone for the past 11 months.  Started a new system, etc.  She basically has to start from scratch.  I told her the excitement would soon wear off.  And today I think it did.  They took her in the office and said they were taking her group leader position away.  They are letting the acting group leader keep it because she's been doing good since Mom's been off.  Their not saying she couldn't get it back in a year or so when she's retrained. She was kind of devastated.  Anyone that knows my Mom knows although she would never admit it, work is her life.  Up until she got sick she had NEVER missed a day, EVER, not one in 16 years of being there.  And this is the thanks she gets? Sorry. Guess to bad for you if you get Leukemia and have to take time off to get healthy. To bad for you.  Not to mention the acting group leader is another lady in the stockroom that we eat lunch with and she's friends with.

They did sort of the same thing to me after I got back from maternity leave.  Turned my world upside down.  And my once "friend" that had done it while I was gone, is still the group leader a year later and I got moved out.  So upsetting the lack of care, crappy morale or just plain feelings of people going through stuff!  She's been back for 2 days, give her a break!! So, she's very upset.  It's like everyone just moved on without her.  One of the girls even basically ignores her.  (She's something else!! Grr)  Just wanted to let people know she went back to work which is good in ways, but bad in others.  Pray for her please! (And for me to keep my big mouth shut! Especially when I feel like people are treating my Mom badly!) Thanks!!

Kaylynn's Birthday Bash!

Saturday we finally had Kaylynn's 2nd birthday party.  Strawberry Shortcake themed.  I made all the cupcakes and home made soft icing and home made strawberry shortcake with strawberries.  We had party pizza's from Weis and ice cream.  It was a lot of fun!  We didn't have time to take to many pictures as we had approx. a total of 30 people and 9 were kids.  They got to have some fun outside in the playhouse, sandbox, pool and water table.  Of course no birthday party would be complete with out a thunderstorm!! It poured! But it would clear up a bit in between the rain showers for them to play and have fun.  She got clothes, Barbie's  doll baby's, sandbox, sand toy's, wheelbarrow with a rake and shovel, etc, a little plastic mini wagon.  She loves everything she doesn't know what to play with first.  All in all we all had a good time.  The kids got David completely soaked from head to toe. Ha!
We probably could have done without the 8 million flies though.  Ugh. So. Many. Flies. They are so annoying!!  Literally I bet there were hundreds that would not go away! Joys of living by a full heifer barn I guess.

Couldn't even wait until it was together.

Daddy wrote a message in the sand. (Sandbox was from my 2 sisters)

Great News!!

Thought I was gonna say I was pregnant, didn't ya? LOL! Nope, not yet!  Mom had an appt at Hershey today and her numbers are still coming up and he's released her back to work!! 4 hours a day for now! But she is so happy and cannot wait!  She has not worked since Aug 30th of last year.  She goes back to her Doc on August 14th.  So, we'll see how it goes!! Her last apt she had 98% of my Aunt's stem cells! So thank you Lord! And thanks for all your concern and prayers!!
